The Wellesley Islands Rangers

The Wellesley Islands Rangers recently hosted an ABC crew visiting Mornington Island to film an episode of the children’s wildlife series ‘Built to Survive’.
The team spent a week on Country seeking out some of our amazing local wildlife, including sea turtles, frilled-neck lizards and venomous snakes while showing the crew how beautiful and special our island is.
The episode will also highlight the importance of Ranger land management in maintaining wildlife habitats, including a demonstration of how burning practices are undertaken.
